The Nine Arch Bridge, popularly known as the “Bridge in the Sky,” was built to connect two mountains when building the Badulla-Colombo railway. This bridge is 300 feet long, 25 feet wide, and 80-100 feet tall. It is one among the country’s greatest instances of colonial-era railway building.
